Denmark–Sweden border : ウィキペディア英語版 | Denmark–Sweden border thumb The Denmark–Sweden border is a national border, which since at least 1814 goes completely in the seas. The territorial waters of the countries border each other along a 〔(Kartsök och ortnamn )〕 long distance in Øresund, approximately between Höganäs and Falsterbo. There is one fixed connection, the long Øresund fixed link. ==History==
Øresund became the border between Denmark and Sweden in 1658, through the Treaty of Roskilde. At that time, until 1814, Norway was a part of Denmark, so today's Norway–Sweden border was formally the border between Denmark and Sweden. Before 1658, the historic provinces of Skåne, Halland, Blekinge and Bohuslän belonged to Denmark, so the eastern or northern border of them were the Denmark–Sweden border.
